		<description>Hi jimmy16 ~ Indeed, there&#039;s a ton of great stuff out there on lasagna gardening - especially youtube! But my compost sandwiches are a little bit different than lasagna gardening in that with the compost sandwich technique, I actually let the decomposition happen before I plant in them. So, I may start the sandwiches in fall and then plant in May or June (roughly 8 or 9 months later).

With lasagna gardening, you layer the organic materials and plant the bed right away - before the decomposition takes place. I like (and use)both methods.</description>
